I added two photo albums. Peshtera & Pirin and Winter in Bratsigovo. Eventhough the winter here took a sharp turn looking more like spring. Am I in California or am I dreaming? I don't know if I will get to snowboard this year. I'll let you know if I do though. Below is a few more perspectives from other PCV's in Bulgaria. Check 'em out.

I grew up in Sunnyvale, a part of the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from the University of San Francisco in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, I chose to join the Peace Corps for two years. I am currently serving in Bulgaria helping the Municipality of Bratsigovo with various projects including; Economic development,European Integration, Eco-tourism, and website development. Yeah, I hear the boardin' is great. And you can't beat the prices. I definitely want to get a few weeks in while I am hear. This weather better get bad...or cold fast if I am gonna get my time in this year. My counter-part told me to buy a board and find my own slopes off the beaten path. I don't know about that right now.
If you hit the slopes go to an established place or at a minimum go with locals who know the area, avalanch stuff and a good number or people with you....your dear old Dad speaking :-)
